Basic labenese humus
HUMUS !! It’s a new rage and modern day comfort food. The best part u can get your experimenting gears on and do as u like it !This is the first and simplest in the series, sure to hook you on to it as it serves as a dip, spread and I like to eat it as it is when craving for flavours. humus has found popularity in recent times to an extent that I see it almost in all restaurants topping the menu served with pita.
Roll up a wrap with humus and salad , spread it over a sandwich for a burst, use it as a party dip with lavash ( the Lebanese chips)

Basic Lebanese hummus
Preparation Time 15 minutes
Cooking Time 15 minutes
Equipment Cooker,Grinder
Ingredients
Chickpeas 1 cup
( to be soaked and cooked with salt and minimal water)
Tahini 2 Tbsp
Garlic cloves 2-3
Olive oil 5-6 Tbsp
Red chili 3-4
Lemon n salt to taste
Method
- Boil soaked chickpeas in minimal water.
- Allow it to cool.
- Blend all the ingredients.
- Adjust the seasoning.
- Store in an airtight glass jar ( top with olive oil to avoid oxidation)
