Mango Chili Margarita/ Fruity Margarita with Mango and a hint of Tobasco

Mango Chili Margarita is a cocktail, which is most sorted after at a  in- house party. the mangoes make it a perfect summer cocktail, and the hint of chili keeps the  excitement going.  I have had fruit based cocktails many a times but a fruity margarita had never been on my favorites’  list.

Fridays being a must happy dinner day, I always work hard to cook some special meal, and create something extra special to drink. Mango chili Margarita was one such drink but made by chance. we usually keep some mango puree ready  in refrigerator every day through summers for the convenience of making shakes.

One evening we had some unwarned  guests, and my friends wife would refuse to have the chilled beer at disposal. So I had some options of liquor and juices at choice to make a quick mocktail. While the discussion was still on, my help was making evening mango shake.

I just said in the fun of the moment, that lets mix ourselves also something in the mango only, first took everyone into a laugh mode, but to me it was a serious thought and decided to mix it up and make a drink. So just took the mango puree  from kids share and shook it up with some tequila and squeezed a few drops of lime.

Though the drink was great I found it bit sweet so there you go, Tobasco  at the table did the magic.

The evening went past, but I kept thinking if it was too weird drink and if  I forced it on my guests. I desperately searched net on various ways a margarita is served, and found some great recipes on similar lines, which proved one thing, all good foodies/boozies…think alike.

Then on I became a bit more bindass in putting things together, and mango chili margarita is always in high demand from guests …..when it comes to cocktails.

I have done many versions of Mango chili Margarita. Some days I just put some paprika in the shaker with frozen mango puree( which I keep handy at the fag end of the season.) Smoked Tobasco sauce also gives a beautiful note to the drink.

The crux is a small hint of chili, sweetness from Alphosos or mangoes like Kesar, and serve it chilled.

This incidence taught me that One can try what heart says and be assured it would rock the party. For now I wish you try my version of Mango Chili Margarita, and I  promise it will leave your guests in awe of your talent, and you will get a bit more adventurous while at the other side of the bar.

Instructions
  1. Scoop the pulp of two mangoes And blend, with some ice cubes.
  2. Now shake about 1/4 th cup of the pulp with tequilla, and 1/4 tsp of tobasco, in a shaker with ice. Add lime juice if you like it tangy.
  3. Rub Lemon on th erim of margarita glasses and coat in red chili powder.
  4. Serve the prepared maragrita in the glasses. Garnish with lime / mandarin wedge.

Tobasco can be replaced with chili sauce

Readymade mango pulp can be used

One can use frozen mango pulp.

You can use some mango juice to dilute the drink.
